About Peter

As a professional who has spent my career in audio and acoustics, I still find myself passionate about bringing music to life in my home. I am always amazed how music can generate positive, uplifting energy or soothe my tired soul or transport me to a different time and place. It’s always about the music for me.
I graduated from McGill University as an electronics engineer and studied acoustics working for Bruel and Kjaer. When I moved to Ottawa I was part of a team of talented young engineers that benefited from the audio research work of Dr. Floyd Toole at the National Research Council. In the 1990’s I launched my first speaker line under the Esper Signals brand. The speakers earned international recognition and sold in North America, Europe and Asia.
Since then I have worked on numerous assignments as a live sound and studio recording engineer, designing audio equipment and as an acoustical engineer on projects including the Telebec, Irving Greenberg and Algonquin College Theatres. I was the lead engineer for the House of Commons of Canada redesigning the audio recording and playback systems for the Carillon in the Peace Tower.
M42 Group is my consulting firm where I provide expertise in acoustics and audio engineering for live performance venues, museum exhibits, corporate conference rooms and open office work spaces.
I selected the audio systems on this website as a way to share my passion and help you transform your home and feed your soul with music.
